What inspired you to launch your own website?
I wanted to provided small business owners with an affordable and professional website.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Our first ever website was launch in 2004. It was an multimedia website dealing with local entertainment.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Looking into SEO possibilities and available domain names.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
We keep everything simple and clean, yet interactive, honest, and fresh. You just have to see it for yourself.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
The goal is to create a back-end community of small business owners to continually learn, grown, and enhance their web knowledge and overall business website.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Currently, we find that it is not all about the time we put in, as much as it is the level of focus during that time. While it is our initial reaction to just work, work, work, we have found that working no-stop can produce lack of focus and negative results.
The more focused we are the better everything is, which is what brings success.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would hire WebProInSite and hear their ideas.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes. We have reserve help waiting for just such an occasion.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Directory fees. SEO is an interesting game, and sometimes you have to bite the bullet to be included in certain directories. Secondly, we are always updating our site and redesign to stay up-to-date with the latest in Search Engine Trends. This can be a headache at times.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Balancing expectations with clients. In the web technology industry, what we do is a mystery to most, and, therefore, people think that sites like Facebook can be created fast and for a very low price.
We do our best to manage these expectations and provide the best website products for any budget.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Article submission and Social Media.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It requires a lot of organization and repetition. To change one thing means you have to change everything. The world wide web demands it.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have run this site for close to 2-years. We enjoy it, and will always keep running it.
If someone does not want to run their site, we take on those projects as well.
What do you expect when you view a website?
I expect to see a clean, simple to understand website without a lot of noise. I want to see what I am there for and be able to click around without having to worry about pop-up ads.
I want to see a fun site that is welcoming and not over done.
